WEDGE FORCE Hydro

WEDGE FORCE Hydro is a virtual instrument plugin designed to emulate the sound and playability of a seven-string electric guitar, allowing producers to create realistic guitar tracks directly within their digital audio workstations (DAWs). Developed by WEDGE FORCE and available through HIRO Audio Tools, Hydro combines high-resolution electric guitar samples with real-time synthesis to authentically recreate guitar tones and techniques.

• Synthetic Force Engine: Hydro's proprietary engine blends pre-sampled waveforms with real-time synthesized sounds, capturing the nuances of live guitar performances. This approach enables the production of lifelike guitar tones that respond dynamically to the user's input. 

• Pickup Configuration: The plugin offers a mixing console that allows users to blend sounds from bridge and neck pickups, as well as seven piezo pickups. This configuration provides a wide range of tonal possibilities, from heavy distortion to sparkling clean and acoustic tones.

• Real-Time Techniques: Hydro supports the performance of various guitar techniques using a MIDI keyboard, including pitch bends, slides, palm muting, and pinch harmonics. The mod wheel can be used to blend pinch harmonics into the main tone, adding expressiveness to solos and riffs. 

• Neck Position Mapping: Users can select from various neck mappings across all seven strings, allowing for customization of the instrument's playability and tonal characteristics.
